The whole shooting of UNLOCK 7 took place in Siliguri, Lolegaon and Kalimpong. The director Rwik told, “For the pandemic situation villagers of the hill spent in very painful life. How did they live and try to collect food or not, we were going to see those periods. I am trying to unlock those periods by our seven friends.”
He also added, “It’s an exciting premise that offers endless potential to generate mystery and thrill. The film’s runtime (near about 120 mins) is a blessing, but in the bargain, it offers absolutely no insight into the lives of its key characters. With an exciting idea at hand, this could have unlocked a high-impact thriller, telling us more about the dark side of the lock-down periods.”
