PM bows to Gurudev Tagore on his Jayanti

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore on his birth anniversary. PM Modi also paid homage to freedom fighter Gopal Krishna Gokhale and the brave Mewar king Maharana Pratap on their birth anniversaries.

Remembering Tagore, born in 1861 and a man of many talents, PM Modi tweeted, “I bow to Gurudev Tagore on his Jayanti. In thought and action, he continues to inspire millions of people. He taught us to be proud of our nation, culture and ethos. He emphasised on education, learning and social empowerment. We are committed to fulfilling his vision for India.”

A poet, playwriter, composer, philosopher and short story writer, Tagore was the awarded the Nobel prize for literature in 1913.

PM Modi paid tributes to Gopal Krishna Gokhale on his birth anniversary. He tweeted, “Tributes to the great Gopal Krishna Gokhale on his birth anniversary. His contribution to our freedom struggle is unforgettable. His unwavering commitment to democratic principles and social empowerment keeps motivating us.”

PM Modi also paid homage to the brave Mewar king Maharana Pratap on their birth anniversaries. In a tweet, the Prime Minister said;

“वीरता और पराक्रम के पर्याय महाराणा प्रताप को उनकी जयंती पर सादर नमन। उनके साहस और संघर्ष की गाथा देशवासियों को सदा प्रेरित करती रहेगी।”
