Kolkata : The 6th edition of Bengal Global Business Summit 2022 (#BGBS2022) opened on 20 April at the Biswa Bangla Convention centre. Saw overwhelming participation from 42 countries of which 14 are partner countries. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s progressive vision has ushered in a new era of growth. Under her leadership, government of West Bengal is committed to the development of our state. Who’s Who of the Indian industry like Gautam Adani, T V Narendran,Sajjan Jindal, Niranjan Hiranandani, Rishad Premji,Sanjiv Puri, Sanjeev Goenka, Sanjiv Mehta addressed the gathering. All of them not only reposed confidence in the state leadership but also announced huge investments in the state. Hon’ble Governor Jagdeep Dhankar made the opening address. Also present were Hon’ble Commerce Ministers from Bangladesh and Bhutan. Huge participation of diplomats, national and international business leaders, thought leaders, policy makers and businesses.

He also tweeted, “All in all, over the next decade, we expect our total investment in Bengal to exceed 10 thousand crore rupees. We anticipate that this investment will create 25,000 or more direct and indirect jobs for the people of Bengal. What I am committing to bring to Bengal is the best of the Adani Group – our expertise in infrastructure, our speed of execution, our experience, and our focus on building bigger and better.”
